Hi there! I’m Ashley, the heart behind The Pawfect Plus One, LLC, and I’m so excited to welcome you to my very first blog post! Whether you’re planning your dream wedding or just need a loving sitter for your furry family member, I’m here to make sure your pets are cared for like they’re my own.
My Mission
At The Pawfect Plus One, LLC, my mission is simple: to provide loving, stress-free, and reliable pet care for weddings and everyday needs. We believe that pets are family and deserve to be part of life’s biggest moments without adding extra stress to their humans. Whether it’s ensuring your pup walks down the aisle perfectly or giving them a fun and safe home while you're away, I am dedicated to making every experience pawfectfor both pets and their owners.
How It All Started
Before launching The Pawfect Plus One, I spent over a decade working in the legal industry. One day, I was chatting with a coworker who was getting married, and as someone who absolutely loves weddings (and love in general!), I jokingly said, “Can I be invited to your wedding, please?! I don’t need to stay for the reception—I just want to see you get married and then I’m out!”
She laughed and replied, “You know, I’d love for my dogs to be part of my wedding, but I don’t want my guests to have to handle them.”
That’s when the light bulb went off! The idea of becoming a professional wedding pet attendant lit up the entire room. I had no clue where this journey would take me, but I felt a spark and knew I had to follow it.
Within 15 days, I had my business name, EIN, and official paperwork filed. My best friend and I worked together on my logo, and just like that, The Pawfect Plus One was born.
But life had another twist in store for me. About six weeks later, I was unexpectedly laid off from my job. I was scared and uncertain about what to do next. At that moment, I had two choices: return to the legal world or take a leap of faith and grow my business.
The choice was clear—I love animals, and I wasn’t ready to give up on my dream. So, I expanded my services to include pet-sitting by signing up for Rover and Wag! Before I knew it, I had built a loyal client base of my own, and The Pawfect Plus One was thriving. I’m incredibly grateful for the wonderful pet parents who trust me to care for their beloved companions!
My Dreams for the Future
As my business continues to grow, I have big dreams for what’s next. My ultimate goal is to one day own a home in the Morrison/Evergreen area with a walkout basement and 5 acres of land—where I can:
🐾Board up to 10 dogs
🐾Offer daycare for 5 pups
🐾And on the other side of the property… own a wedding venue!
Bringing together my love for animals and weddings in a space where both can thrive is the dream I’m working toward every single day.
